Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to this website. Reading its content, using a search feature, or visiting any page means that you accept every term below. If you disagree with these conditions, you must stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no connection to a local, state, or federal government agency. It helps visitors locate criminal-record resources in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana. The site is neither a private investigation service nor a consumer reporting agency. Our advertising partners and this website do not provide tools intended for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or other decisions governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent private reference site, not a government office. It does not keep official criminal records, retrieve records on a visitor's behalf, conduct an official background check, or file documents for anyone.

The site identifies sources that maintain St. Mary Parish records, including the sheriff, criminal courts, Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, Office of State Police, Bureau of Criminal Identification and Information (BCII), and the Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry. It may also connect visitors to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of use, you agree not to:

  • Use automated bots, scrapers, or similar tools on site pages
  • Interfere with site performance or prevent access by other visitors
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or restricted area
  • Use site information to threaten, stalk, or harass a person
  • Rely on site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
  • Violate any applicable local, Louisiana, or federal law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use information found here or through a linked service to intimidate, threaten, stalk, harass, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may also violate the law. Louisiana places limits on misuse of Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry data, and unlawful action against a registrant can carry criminal consequences. Registry information supports public-safety awareness. It does not authorize vigilantism, housing discrimination, or employment blacklisting.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not produce consumer reports, credit reports, or background checks. Neither this site nor its advertising partners supplies services designed to evaluate applicants, rental requests, insurance rates, or creditworthiness. Information here or from a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Set insurance premiums or assess creditworthiness
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Make a hiring or firing decision
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other activity regulated by the FCRA

When a lawful purpose requires such a check, use the appropriate authorized BCII process under Louisiana R.S. 15:587 or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General explanations of St. Mary Parish records cannot determine how a warrant, charge, conviction, or Louisiana expungement rule affects a particular person. Seek advice from a lawyer licensed in Louisiana.

6. No Warranties

All content and features are supplied "as is." We make no promise that:

  • Partner search results will be complete or correct
  • Pages contain no errors, defects, or security weaknesses
  • The website will remain available without interruption
  • Information is always current, complete, and accurate

Criminal records can change as charges are filed, reduced, dismissed, restricted, or expunged. Gaps and delays are unavoidable. No site content is an official statement from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff, a court, BCII, or another government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to sheriff and court websites, Louisiana agencies, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Those destinations are beyond our control. We do not accept responsibility for their availability, prices, data practices, or content. Review the destination's own terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, code, graphics, and logos on this website belong to St. Mary Parish Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required before copying, distributing, changing, or creating derivative works from that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for damages arising from site use, including reliance on information presented here or returned by a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to protect and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or legal proceedings caused by your site use or violation of these terms, including related costs and legal fees.

11. Governing Law

Louisiana law governs these terms. Any dispute related to use of this website must be brought in a court located in Louisiana.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these conditions at any time. A revision becomes effective when the updated language is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may suspend, restrict, or end access to the website at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be modified only to the extent needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be submitted through the Contact page.
