A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates the tool. That provider processes the query and supplies its results. St. Mary Parish Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.

St. Mary Parish Criminal History does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal-record information. It publishes general directions to records held by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff, the courts, Louisiana State Police BCII, and the Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.

Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted through one of those tools is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its retention, processing, and disclosure practices. Visitors should review those terms before running a query.

Links may lead to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff, court portals, Louisiana agencies, legal-aid organizations, or outside search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy controls. Review it before providing personal information.
